 Poverty: Families in poverty often rely on child labor for

survival. When parents struggle to meet basic needs,
children may work to contribute to household income.
 Weak Enforcement of Laws: In many countries, child
labor laws exist but are poorly enforced. Corruption, lack
of resources, and inadequate monitoring contribute to
this issue.
 Cultural Norms: In some societies, child labor is
normalized. Traditional practices, such as children
helping with family businesses, perpetuate this cycle.

affordable products, which can lead to exploitation.
Companies may prioritize profit over ethical sourcing.

 Support Ethical Brands: Choose products from

companies committed to fair labor practices. Look for
certifications like Fair Trade or ethical sourcing labels.
 Community-Based Efforts: Engage with local
organizations working to eradicate child labor. Volunteer,

community or while traveling, report it to relevant
authorities or organizations.
