smartphones or tablets can support AR and
make the AR experience available.

VR users are controlled by the system. AR can control their presence in the real world
( AR can change how users interact with digital
products by providing contextually
relevant ,enhanced experiences.
Artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence is the science of

making machines that can think like
humans. It can do things that are
considered "smart." AI technology can
process large amounts of data in ways,
unlike humans. The goal for AI is to be able
to do things such as recognize patterns,
make decisions, and judge like humans.
Some examples of AI
• Digital /Virtual Assistant
• Chatbot
• Navigation/Maps
• Facial Recognition
• Smartphone
• Natural Language Processing
• Automation
eLearning (Electronic
Learning)

Is a type of online education, training,

and knowledge sharing that is
conducted over the internet . It can be
utilized in various settings , such as
academic education, corporate
training , continuing professional
development , and skill development
courses.
Examples of eLearning
• Online learning
• Blended Learning
• Podcast
• Webinars
• Virtual coaching
• Podcast
• Electronic Learning Management System
• ebooks
Automation
The technique of making an apparatus , a process, or a
system operate automatically.
INTERNET OF THINGS
• Describe the network of physical object-
“things” –that are embedded with
sensors , software and other
technologies for the purpose of
connecting and exchanging data with
other devices and systems over the
internet.
• Also known as Internet of Everything.
• Smart Technologies are example of IOT
SMART TECHNOLOGY
• Refers to various devices , systems and applications that
utilize artificial intelligence , internet connectivity and
other advance technologies to enhance and automate
various task in various filed such as home automation,
transportation , healthcare , security , etc. Examples
include smart home devices, smart cities , smart cars,
wearable technology and smart healthcare devices.
SMART HOME

• Utilizing internet –connected

devices with sensors and actuators
controlled through a centralized
system ( e.g; smartphone ) to
manage home appliances and
automate household routines.
Alexa device
• Amazon’s voice service. With Alexa, you can build
natural voice experiences that offer a customer a more
intuitive way to interact with the technology they use
everyday. Example of AI ( Natural Language Processing)
Smart wearables

• Health and fitness oriented wearable devices that

offer biometric measurements such as heart rate ,
perspiration levels , blood pressure and even
complex measurement like oxygen levels in the
bloodstream have become available.
SMART CITY
• A smart city uses information and
communication technology (ICT) to
improved operational efficiency , share
information with the public and provide
a better quality of government service
and citizen welfare.
• The main goal of smart city is to
optimize city functions and promote
economic growth while also improving
the quality-of-life for citizens by using
smart technologies and data analysis.
Smart City
• Smart city technology uses IoT’s hyper-connectivity to
make cities safer, greener and more efficient. IoT
devices are being deployed throughout cities to
measure and monitor everything from air quality to
traffic and crime patterns.
• A smart city is a place where traditional networks and
services are made more efficient with the use of digital
solutions for the benefit of its inhabitants and business.
Drones
• Unmanned aerial vehicle (AUVs) , are
type of robot that can be controlled
remotely and used for variety of
purposes, such as aerial photography ,
surveying and delivery.
Everything on Demand
• Due to the prevalence of network connectivity , it is
possible to have information on demand . Music, movies,
and even drivers (e.g.; Grab) are made available through
the apps in smartphone.
