PRESENTATION
ANDHRA PRADESH

Andhra Pradesh is the 8th


largest state of India. It’s
capital is AMARAVATI.
Telugu is the official
language of this state. The
designer of Indian national
flag was from Andhra
Pradesh. It also holds the
record of holding India's
largest banyan tree.
ARUNACHAL PRADESH

Arunachal Pradesh, one of the most


beautiful and peaceful state of India.
It’s capital is ITANGAR.
It is situated in the eastern most part
of India. It share it’s 1600 km
Northern boarder with China,
Western boarder with Bhutan,
Eastern boarder with Myanmar and
state of Nagalandand State of Assam
lies in its southern side. It’s a hilly
state starting with foot hills in
southern boarder with Assam and
height of hills increasing as we
proceed towards Northern boarder
with China where altitude reaches
more than 20000 feets.
ASSAM

Assam is a state of India.


It’s capital is Dispur.
It is known for its wildlife,
archaeological sites, and
tea gardens.It was

BIHAR

Bihar is one of the major


states of India.It’s capital is
Patha. In the year 1905, it

separating Bihar from

Chhattisgarh
Chhattisgarh is a landlocked and heavily
forested state located in the region of
Central India. Formerly part of Madhya Pradesh
it was granted statehood on 1 November 2000.
It is the 9th-largest state in India, with an area of
135,192 km2 (52,198 sq mi). As of 2021, it has a
population of roughly 30 million (3 crores),
making it the 17th most populated state in the
country. The state was formed by the partition
of ten Chhattisgarh and six Gondi-speaking
districts in the southeast of Madhya Pradesh Its
capital city is Raipur. It borders 7 states –
Uttar Pradesh to the north, Madhya Pradesh to
the northwest, Maharashtra to the southwest,
Jharkhand to the northeast, Odisha to the east,
and Telangana and Andhra to the south.
Currently, it comprises 32 districts. It’s capital is

Goa is the smallest
state in India. It’s
capital is Panaji. It
population here is
about 15 lakhs. Goa is
the fourth-smallest
state in India in terms
of population.
This state was
established on 30th
May 1987.
GUJARAT

Gujarat is a state of India


and was established on
1st May 1960.It’s capital is
Gandhinagar. Gujarat has
a total of 33 districts .
Ahmedabad is the largest
city in Gujarat. Garba
dance of Gujarat is very
famous.
HARYANA

Haryana is one of the 28 states


of India and it is a state located
in the north of India. It’s capital
is Chandigarh. Haryana was
earlier a part of Punjab.
Separated from East Punjab on
1 November 1966.
In terms of area, Haryana
ranks 21st in the whole of
India. There are 22 districts in
Haryana.
Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh is a state


in the Northern Part of
India.It’s capital is Shimla.
Himachal Pradesh state was
formed on 25 January 1971.
It is one of the Mountains
states. The total Area of
Himachal Pradesh is 55,673
Sq. Km.
Jharkhand

Jharkhand is a state in eastern


India. It’s capital is RANCHI. The
state shares its border with the
states of Bihar to the north, Uttar
Pradesh to the northwest,
Chhattisgarh to the west, Odisha
to the south and West Bengal to
the east. It has an area of 79,710
km². It is the 15th largest state by
area, and the 14th largest by
population. Hindi is the official
language of the state.
Karnatak

Karnataka is the state is in the south


western region of India. It’s capital is
Bangalore. It was formed on 1st
November 1956, with the passage of the
States Reorganisation Act. Originally
known as the State of Mysore, it was
renamed Karnataka in 1973. Karnataka
is one of the classical languages of India,
and it is the most widely spoken and
official language of the state. Karnataka is
the eighth largest state by population,
containing 31 districts. Its capital and
largest city is Bangalore.
Kerala
Kerala is a state on the Malabar
Coast of India. It was alternatively
called Malabar in the foreign
trade circles.It’s capital is
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM.
It was formed on 1 November
1956, which has 14 districts, and
it's official website is kerala.gov.in.
Its official capital city is
Trivandrum, and it's official
language is Malayalam, which is
the most widely spoken language.
MADHYA PRADESH

The state of Madhya


Pradesh was created on 1
November 1956. It’s capital
is Bhopal.
As it is the central region of
India, it is also known as
the ‘Heart of India’. Bhopal
is the capital city of
Madhya Pradesh. Indore is
the largest city in the state.
MAHARASHTRA

Maharashtra is one of the


major states of India. It’s
capital is Mumbai . It was
established on 1st May 1960.
In Maharashtra, both
Maharashtra Day and Labour
Day are celebrated on 1st May
each year. Here, great legends
like Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Dada
Bhai Naoroji, Veer Savarkar,
Gopal Krishna Gokhale were
born.
MANIPUR
Manipuri dance, also known
as Jagoi, is one of the major
Indian classical dance forms,
named after the region of its
origin – Manipur, a state in
northeastern India bordering
with Myanmar, Assam,
Nagaland and Mizoram.It’s
capital is IMPHAL. Manipuri
danceis one of the major
classical dance forms of India.
Itoriginates from Manipur, a
north-eastern state of
India. A small state enclosed
by hills on all sides.
MEGHALAYA

Meghalaya comes into


existence on 21 January
1972. Meghalaya means ‘
The Adobe of Clouds’ is a
state located in the North-
Eastern part of India. It’s
capital is SHILLONG. It is a
place where it rains the most
among all Indian states. The
state is also known as the
‘Scotland of East.’
MIZORAM

Mizoram is a state
situated on the
extreme south of
northeastern India, it is
a land of unending
natural beauty with a
variety of flora and
fauna. It’s capital is
AIZAWL. The word
“Mizo” means
highlander.
NAGALAND
Nagaland (/ˈnɑːɡəlænd/) is a state
in northeastern India. It’s capital is
KOHIMA. It is bordered by the state
of Arunachal Pradesh to the north,
Assam to the west, Manipur to the
south and the Sagaing Region of
Myanmar to the east. Its capital city
is Kohima and its largest city is
Dimapur. It has an area of 16,579
square kilometres (6,401 sq mi) with
a population of 1,980,602 per the
2011 Census of India, making it one
of India's smallest states.]
ODISHA

It is a state on the east coast


of the Republic of India.It’s
capital is BHUBANESWAR.
The official languages of
Odisha are Oriya or Odia,
Hindi, and English. 1st April
is celebrated as Odisha Day.
Odisha State Museum is of
the most famous museums.
PUNJAB

Punjab is a state situated in


the North-Western part of
India.It’s capital is
CHANDIGARH. Most of the
people from Punjab speak
Punjabi language. It is
known as the most fertile
land of India. Sikh religion
originates here in the 15th
century.
RAJASTHAN

Rajasthan is the largest


state of India. It’s capital
is JAIPUR.Jaipur is also
called pink city. It was
established on 1st
November 1956.
Rajasthan forms the
international border with
Pakistan.
SIKKIM

Sikkim is a state of India. It’s


capital is GANGTOK. This
state was established on
16th May 1975. Sikkim is the
smallest state of India.
Kanchenjunga, the third
tallest braid in the world, is
located in Sikkim.
TAMIL NADU

Tamil Nadu is a southern


state of India which is
supremely rich in culture
and heritage.It’s capital is
Tamil Nadu. Known to be
one of the oldest
civilisations in the world,
the people of Tamil Nadu
belong to the prestigious
Dravidian Family.
TELANGANA

Midnight celebrations on Sunday, 2 June 2014


heralded the birth of Telangana, the 29th
state of India in the Southern region of the
country. Its emergence was nothing less than
an ordeal for those who had been demanding
the separate state of Telangana for about six
decades.It’s capital is HYDERABAD. Even on
the day, the creation of the state was to be
decided by the Indian Parliament, lawmakers
used pepper-spray inside the building,
uprooted microphones and entered into
brawls in order to prevent a single bill from
passing.
TRIPURA

Tripura] is a state in northeastern


India. The third-smallest state in the
country. It’s capital is AGARTALA. it
covers 10,491.69 km (4,050.86 sq mi)
and is bordered by Bangladesh to the
north,. south, and west, and the
Indian states of Assam and Mizoram
to the east. In 2011 the state had
3,671,032 residents, constituting
0.3% of the country's population.
UTTAR PRADESH

Uttar Pradesh is a state of India.


It5’s capital is Lucknow. t is the
most populous state of India.
This state was established on 1st
April 1937 at the time of the
British. nitially, it was called the
United Provinces of Agra and
Awadh.
UTTARAKHAND

Uttarakhand is one of the major


states of India. It’s capital is
DEHRADUN. It was established on
9th November 2000 as the 27th
state of India. This state has been
carved out of Uttar Pradesh.
Uttarakhand was earlier known
as Uttaranchal.
WEST BENGAL

West Bengal is one of the


major states of India.It’s
capital is KOLKATA . It was
established on 26th January
1950. West Bengal is in 14th
position by area in all India.
