• COUNT—finds the number of cells in a range that contain numbers
• COUNTIF—finds the number of cells within a range that meet a specified

• VLOOKUP: looks up a value in the leftmost column of a table and returns a
value in the same row from a column you specify.

• MATCH: returns the relative position of an item in an array that matches a

INDEX: returns a value or reference of the cell at the intersection of a
particular row and column in a given range. Using MATCH and INDEX can be
