OBJECTIVE
The project’s objective is to design a remotely controlled robot using a
NODEMCU board with a 4-wheel drive, controlled via a smartphone. It has a
secure compartment for package delivery that only intended recipients can
open, providing an anti-theft feature. An ultrasonic sensor enables safe
navigation by avoiding obstacles.
To enhance control and security, the robot includes a remote camera for
monitoring its movements, allowing a control team to intervene if needed. This
feature supports accurate navigation and deters theft attempts, making the
robot suitable for secure deliveries.
Additionally, the robot is equipped with a speaker, microphone, and buzzer
system. This allows interaction with recipients upon arrival and sounds an alarm
if unauthorized access is attempted. Controlled via an Android app, the robot’s
powerful motors and interactive features ensure efficient, secure package
delivery.
INTRODUCTION
• In the rapid development of technology, there are many types of robots with various specifications
and capabilities.
• The automatic delivery robots are being used in united states hospitals to deliver medicines, juice,
water bottles, etc
• In this present era, with businesses booming we see rapid growth in companies whether it be a
comparison financially or in-ground strength.
• For a company to work efficiently it has been repeatedly observed that multiple personnel are used
for piteous jobs such as transferring documents to various departments or delivery of letters or
posts.
• So, proposing an autonomous robot capable to send or receive physical items, in a number of
different scenarios.
• Autonomous delivery system, not yet intelligent enough to deliver goods across cities, but able to
deliver small objects from one place to another within small boundaries.
LITERATURE SURVEY
Murad Mehrab Abrar et al. (2022) introduced an affordable autonomous mobile robot to improve last-
mile delivery. Using GPS and a digital compass, the robot navigates with precision, while a password-
protected container ensures secure, contactless deliveries. This design enhances delivery safety, reduces
human interaction, and supports health safety by minimizing virus transmission risks.
However, future improvements are needed for optimal performance in complex, real-world environments
with dynamic obstacles and varied terrains. Scaling the design requires advanced AI for decision-making
and extended battery life. Widespread adoption will also need regulatory adjustments, infrastructure
improvements, and strengthened security features.

Aniket Gujarathi et al. (2021) highlight the potential of autonomous robots to improve safety and
efficiency across sectors such as automotive, public transport, and military. With increasing e-commerce
demands, they emphasize the need for rapid, affordable, and sustainable last-mile delivery solutions.
Their robot model, featuring a cyber-physical design and catadioptric cameras for panoramic scene
understanding, enhances navigation and situational awareness.
However, challenges in precise localization remain, as inaccuracies can lead to unreliable robot behavior.
Future research should focus on advanced state estimation, improved adaptability to dynamic
environments, and scalable, cost-effective technology to make autonomous systems more robust and
dependable.
LITERATURE SURVEY
Alexander Buchegger et al. (2019) developed an autonomous electric vehicle for
urban parcel delivery by modifying a commercial vehicle for autonomous control. Utilizing
topological navigation and OpenStreetMap data, the vehicle efficiently navigates complex
city landscapes. The study adapted established robotics algorithms to enhance
navigation accuracy and system robustness, showcasing its potential to streamline urban
logistics and reduce human intervention in parcel delivery.
For future development, improving the vehicle’s adaptability to dynamic urban
environments, such as unpredictable traffic conditions and diverse weather scenarios,
will be crucial. Further refinement of navigation systems and the integration of advanced
AI for better decision-making, along with enhancing scalability for widespread use, will be
necessary to fully realize the vehicle's potential in large-scale urban delivery applications.
