JBK HSE ORIENTATION

QHSE POLICY
SCOPE OF WORK
 JBK INTERNATIONAL specializes in design,
engineering, supply, installation, supervision,
integration, testing & commissioning, training
and maintenance of Life Safety Systems (Fire
Detection / Alarm / Suppression and Emergency
Lighting),
 Building Automation and Control Systems, IT
Infrastructure & Software Development, Security
Systems,
 Low Voltage Systems, Switchgear Products and
Elevator & Escalator Solutions in the Gulf region.
OFFICE ACCESS
 Use your biometric to access the office and
make sure the door closes completely by end
of shift.
 Avoid taking visitors inside office areas unless
and until it is recommended.
 Visitors information must be entered on log
sheets available in the reception.
SITE ACCESS
• All site users must follow concerned project
site safety and security rules.
• Must undergo project HSE Induction before
entering site premises.
• Any new workers (JBK/Subcon) on project must
be notified to JBK HSE.
DRIVING SAFETY

• All drivers should have valid UAE license and vehicle


pass to enter the Landside Area.
• Valid Airside Driving Permit (ADP) and vehicle pass is
required to drive on the Airside Zone.
• Speeding not permitted on site. Speed limits signs
must be adhered to.
DRIVING SAFETY
• Do not use mobile phones while
driving.
• Ensure all loose items are stowed
away and secured in the drivers cab.
• Do not leave your vehicle running and unattended. Switch off
your engine.
• Driver and co-passenger must wear the seatbelts.
• Follow tracks, signals, flagman and supervisory directions
from ACC Staff.
• No workers should sit or stand at the back of pickup or trailer
while moving.
It’s the Responsibility of drivers to check/inspect the
vehicle before starting up.
Personal Protection Equipment
Most construction sites require at least:
 Hard hat
 Safety Boots
 Hi-viz jacket
 Safety Glasses
 Hand Gloves

Other PPE Like Safety Harness, ear muffs


to be used depends upon the work activity.
If any of your PPE found damage please return back
to store and get the new one.
HONEYWELL FIRST AID
First Aid Kit Locations
• 1 FA kit available in Honeywell office and 1 Kit
in the main entrance of the site office.
• Each Honeywell vehicle has first aid boxes
which is inspected on monthly basis.

Accident and Incident Reporting

 Supervisor/Workers must report


all accidents and incidents without any
delay.

 Report all Near Misses ASAP

 Never leave site without


reporting any safety issues
HOUSEKEEPING
Results of poor housekeeping
• Injuries, when employees trip, fall, strike or are
struck by out-of-place objects.
• Fires due to improper storage and disposal of
flammable or combustible materials.
• Lower efficiency because of time spend looking for
correct tools and materials.
PERMIT TO WORK SYSTEM
• DSTI (Daily Safety Task Instruction Form):
To be conducted by Team leader, should brief the
work activity and its hazards and control measures
based on the working environment.
• Confined Space Work Permit:
To be used prior entering on any pits, tanks with
the approval of HSE Officer.
• Hot Work Permit:
On SP100 the client system must be followed and
permission must be sought from Airside Fire and
Safety Department.
PERMIT TO WORK SYSTEM
• Excavation Permit

• Electrical Isolation Permit

• Crane Safe Work Permit


The other documents which need to be available with site
team is Approved Work Notification copy in which job risk
assessment and method statement to be attached.

Declaration Form must be available with team working in


live or partially live areas/equipments.
SMOKING POLICY
• Smoking is allowed only in the designated
areas.
• Fire Extinguishers and Hand buckets to be
provided in these areas.
• Anyone found smoking on site outside the
designated areas will be subjected to
disciplinary action.

GENERAL SITE HSE RULES AND
REGULATIONS
• All persons must have received Honeywell HSE
Induction before entering into site.
• All accidents/Incidents however minor on site should
be reported to HSE team immediately.
• Fire Extinguishers to be placed at all work areas on
site and also with generators and hazardous material
storage areas.
• Eating and Resting on site is only permitted on the
designated rest areas.
• Permits and work area will be examined by the HSE
Representative before starting the job.
GENERAL SITE HSE RULES AND
REGULATIONS
• All plants and vehicles to be fitted with flashing
beacon which must be switched ON at all times.
• No drugs and alcohol permitted on site. Those found
in breach will be removed from site immediately and
their Airside pass will be permanently rescinded.
• No Plastic bags are allowed on site. Food must be
brought in Tiffin container.
• Photography is not permitted on site. When it is
required to take pictures permission must be sought
from DAEP.
GENERAL SITE HSE RULES AND
REGULATIONS
• Horseplay or fighting is not permitted on site. If
found in breach will be subject to disciplinary
action.
• All electrical equipment to be of 110v supply.
• Urinating on site or in the buildings is forbidden
other than in the designated toilet facilities on
site.
• Minimum dress code on site is uniform for
workers and staff must wear full length pants and
sleeved top. Shorts or sleeveless tops are
forbidden.
