I am A Scholar, A pundit
With A Difference.
But…What does it mean?

▪ Today’s world is full of educated people. But if we think about it, has it
really brought about a change in the world? Is it really helping us
overcome our problems? Has it really to be an Orwellian 1984,
Huxley’s BRAVE NEW WORLD or Eliot’s WASTE LAND? Or
can we try to bring it anyway near to Moore’s UTOPIA or
Marx’s dream of a society of EQUITY AND EQUALITY?
▪ A pundit with a difference interns oneness and equality among all
human beings, fulfilling their expanded and enriched role in the world.
▪ It is the need of the hour to have people who can bring a change with
their knowledge. This is what is means to be a learned person/scholar,
beyond caste, religion, sex, race, etc.
▪ BE THE CHANGE, TO BRING THE CHANGE.

What is to be CHANGED?

WAR INEQUALITY GLOBAL WARMING

ILL MENTALITY OF
POVERTY HEALTH ISSUES
PEOPLE

THE DECREASING
HUMANITY
 INSPIRATIONS OF
TODAY!
How can we bring a change?

▪ By letting the society and our experiences,


cumulatively, shape our thoughts.
▪ By not ignoring the problems.
▪ By standing up for ourselves and others.
▪ By not caring about people and not what they would
say.
▪ By trusting ourselves.
▪ By realizing that we need to seize the moment.
“CARPE DIEM”
▪ It is high time we do something with our knowledge.
As to do the social good is the purpose, which our
schools are teaching us.
This is what we have been doing for

centuries:
▪ We all may be literates, but not many are scholars, most of
us may be scholars, but not everyone is a GAME CHANGER.
▪ All we are doing is gaining bookish knowledge but the
application is still missing.

What we should do:


▪ Scientific search for truth, to live in justice, equality and
freedom while bringing a change.
▪ Accept challenges courageously and perform tasks with
honesty while seeking truth, become a scholar, a pundit
with a difference.
▪ BE THE GAME CHANGER
How am I EVERYONE yet SOMEONE?

▪ I have practiced these ideas in my personal life.


▪ I have not merely learnt to reduce plastic but
truncated its usage.
▪ I donate goods on my birthdays and special events in
ashrams for people ill with leprosy.
▪ I have taught my maid basic Hindi and have told her
not to bring her children to do work in our house, I
practice the ideas of equality that I learn in school.
▪ I do not burn crackers and tell others also not to burn
them, as I know that they pollute the environment
and thus with my learning I endeavour to bring a
difference in the world.
▪ Let us try something different
today, let us change the way we

live today for tomorrow may never
come.
▪ Let us start by changing our self
first, let us be the difference as,
“Charity begins at home”
▪ Change is what we are, change is
what our need is and change is
what is coming.
▪ ARE YOU PREPARED TO hold a
mirror to the world and BE THE
CHANGE?
