ORGANIZATION

• Jose Rizal was involved in several
organization that played significant roles
in the Philippine Nationali movement and
the fight against colonial rule.
ORGANIZATION ASSOCIATED WITH RIZAL:
>1. *LA LIGA FILIPINA*
-Founded by Rizal in 1892, This civic organization aimed to unite
Filipinos for reform and national identity.
-It focused on social and economic reform and advocating for equality
and rights for Filipinos under
Spanish rule.
>2. *PROPAGANDA MOVEMENT*
-A collective of Filipino expatriates who sought reforms through
literature and journalism.
-Rizal, along with other notable members likes MARCELO H.DEL PILAR
and GRACIANO LOPEZ JAENA ,used writing as a tool for advocacy.
>3. *KATIPUNAN*
-Although Rizal was not a member, the KATIPUNAN was a
Revolutionary Society that emerged in the 1890s, inspired
by Rizal's works.
-Aimed for complete independence from Spanish rule and
was pivotal in the Philippine revolution.
>4. *FREEMASONRY*
-Rizal was a member of the masonic lodge, which
promoted enlightenment ideals such as liberty, equality,
and fraternity.
-His masonic connections were influential in his reformist
activities and the broader nationalist movement.

* POLITICAL AND NATIONALIST ORGANIZATIONS*


> LA LIGA FILIPINA (THE FILIPINO LEAGUE)* founded in 1892, this organization
aimed to unite Filipínos and promote reforms in governance and society.
*CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS *
> PROPAGANDA MOVEMENT > while not a formal organization, Rizal was a key
figure in this movement, which included writers and intellectuals advocating for
political reforms through literature and education.
*MASONIC ORGANIZATIONS*
> Acacia lodge no.9 > Rizal was involved in Freemasonry, which promoted ideals
of liberty, equality, and fraternity.
* LITERARY ORGANIZATIONS*
> LITERARY SOCIETIES > Rizal was part of various literary circles that the
propagation of nationalist sentiments through writing.
*SCIENTIFIC AND PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS*
> ASSOCIATION OF DAUGHTERS OF THE REVOLUTION> through
not solely founded by him, Rizal's influence extended to this
group, which aimed to uplift the status of women in society
through education and activism.

> The organization aimed to promote education, improve social
conditions, and advocate for political representation.
> Awareness about the injustices faced by Filipinos under Spanish

SUMMARY:

Through this effort, he aimed to empower Filipinos and lay the
groundwork for future movements toward independence and
through equality.
CLASSIFICATION OF THE SPECIFIC CONTRIBUTION MADE BY THE

LESSON INTRODUCTION:
This lesson explores the significance of collaboration in driving
change, particularly through the lens of Jose Rizal's efforts. Rizal
recognized that to tackle seemingly impossible challenges, he
needed the support of a select group of trusted, like minded
individuals.

LESSON DISCUSSION:
Upon arriving in Europe, Jose Rizal connected with fellow Filipinos,
leading to the formation of various organizations aimed at strengthening
their collective identity. Initially, they formed the *Kidlat Club which
included notable figures like Antonio Luna and Juan Luna. Inspired by
Native American Indians, they later renamed themselves *Los Indios
Bravos*, embracing a term used derogatorily by Spaniards.
This group aimed to unify Filipino students in Europe.
As their influence grew, they established the *Asosacion La
Solidaridad*, which became a platform for voicing the concerns and
suggestions of Filipinos regarding governance. They published the
newsletter *La Solidaridad*, featuring significant works by Rizal,
including the *Indolence of the Filipinos* and *Philippines, A century
Hence* Rizal reflected on the potential ambitions of the United States
regarding foreign possessions, suggesting that the desire for expansion
could emerge despite its traditions.
Upon returning to manila, Rizal sought to unify the diverse Filipino
population by establishing a national organization. On *July 3,1892* he

homogeneous body.

>To provide support and assistance to members in times of need.

>To promote education, agriculture, and commerce for the betterment
of society.
5. *REFORM ANALYSIS*
>To analyze and advocate for the application of necessary reforms to
improve the lives of Filipinos.
›These aims reflected Rizal's vision for a united and progressive
Philippines.
RIZAL'S FINAL INVOLVEMENT WITH LA LIGA FILIPINA:
La Liga Filipina was the last organization Rizal formed
and actively participated in. Shortly after its
establishment, Governor General Despujol ordered
Rizal's arrest, leading to his exile in Dapitan,
Mindanao. Although Rizal was unable to create a
lasting organization himself, his ideas and influence
lived on through his followers.
