Firmware & Archive

What is the difference?

Firmware & Archive

Archive Firmware
• Controller’s program
Controller’s „OS“
• I/O configuration, PLC
• Parameters (setpoints)
• History
Firmware & Archive

Firmware Archive
1.1.1.1; 1.1.0.8 1.1.xx

1.2.0.; 1.2.1 1.2.xx

4.1.0; 4.1.2 4.1.xx

First two digits have to be the same

Firmware & Archive

Firmware Archive
1.1.1.1; 1.1.0.8 1.1.xx

1.2.0; 1.2.1; 1.2.xx

4.1.0; 4.1.2 4.1.xx

First two digits are different => not compatible!

Firmware & Archive upgrade

› Archive upgrade
» Neccessary if archive version < fw version
in the controller
» Possible to have 1.1.0.8 archive in 1.1.1.1
fw version
› Firmware upgrade
» Neccessary when archive version > fw
version

InteliConfig - Protection blocking

› All the time

» Protection is not being blocked (only when
LBI SD override = 1)
› Run Only Block Delay (setpoint)
» Protection is blocked during starting phase
for a specified time (given by the setpoint)
› Force block
» Protection blocking forced by LBI
Protection force disable
› Electrical protection
» Blocking is enabled until the MaxStabTime
elapses or breaker is closed
Hands-on part
Practical tasks

Task 1 – First steps after purchasing controller

A. Install „InteliConfig“
B. Connect to the controller
C. Turn on the production mode
D. Write [email protected] as an email address into the controller
E. Upgrade firmware in your controller to the latest one
F. Upload a default StarterKit configuration into the controller
G. Modify parameters for the simulation
Practical tasks

Task 2 - Simulation
A. Tune the basic simulation parameters on the StarterKit
• Controller in OFF mode
• Mains OK
• Mains Voltage = 231 V
• Fuel Level > 50 %
B. Start the genset in MAN mode
A. Stop the engine after succesfull running
C. Verify if Automatic Mains Fail (AMF) function works according to your needs
D. Test function on the Binary Inputs
• Access Lock
• Emergency stop
• Remote OFF
• Remote Test
• SD Override
PLC Tasks

Task 3 – PLC Editor

A. Create function that will show alarm on the display if unit is not in automatic mode
B. Create output to START/STOP Fuel Pump (Binary Output) for fuel auto refilling
C. Opened door protection
D. Louvre control simulation (Use delay blocks)
User policy – extra tasks

› UNASSIGNED USER – (User 0) can’t modify any setpoints and can’t control a unit.
› Operator – (User 1) this user has an access only to the control commands.
› Local administrator – (User 2) has an access to the commands, Engine settings,
Generator settings and AMF settings.
› Administrator – Has a full access

› Add any 3rd language to the controller.
