Art appreciation
◼ Art appreciation is the capacity to understand works of art
and experience a certain enjoyment in creating arts.
◼ It deals with our encounter with the artworks and artists
and how we are affected with it.
◼ It is far from ethics wherein in ethics we consider that
there are absolute right and wrong answers. Art
appreciation is not bounded to what is beautiful or not.
◼Art appreciation is the ability of an individual to
interpret and understand man-made arts. As a
process, art appreciation involves our positive,
perceptual, emotional, intellectual; response to
the beauty of artworks. It also helps us improve
our perception of reality and at the same time,
distinguish art from reality and vice versa.
