and money, in spite of the conditions around you and the actions of others. • Defensive driving is the responsibility of everyone who operates a vehicle in our roadway community.
• Know what to do to prevent a traffic hazard from
becoming a collision • Know the consequences of your driving choices • Know the basic defenses of: – Scanning in all directions – SLOW DOWN – Use a safe following distance
