CONNECT
Help yourself better understand
a listening assignment by
thinking of things you already
know about the topic.
PREDICT
Make guesses about what you may
learn as you listen.
LISTEN FOR ANSWERS
Note the answers to the questions you
have as you listen.
TAKE NOTES
Take down important information that
will help you remember ideas.
FindRE-LISTEN/FIND A FIX
a way to get back on track when
you get bored or when ideas are
difficult.
Respond
Identify the point you agree or disagree
with, the parts you like best, and those
which are confusing.

Summarize
Read your lecture notes several
times before and after the listening
activity and summarize them.
Extend
Read, watch and listen to other sources
