UNITED NATIONS

WEEK
October 18-24, 2024

SOCIAL SCIENCE DEPARTMEN


Theme:
“Leaving no one behind: acting together for the
advancement of peace, sustainable development and
human dignity for present and future generations”.
WAT – A – WHAT (WATAWAT) QUIZ
BEE
• This will be held on October 18 during Social Science
subject.
• All choices in a question-and-answer portion in an easy,
average and difficult round is through flag identification
of nation.
• All students will join the classroom quiz bee, using their
answering board and marker.
• All winner in their respective classroom will compete to
all other winners from different strands.
• Final quiz bee of all winners will be on October 21,
Monday.
MURAL PAINTING
• This will be held on October 21-22 during Social Science subject.

• The mural’s theme is, “Leaving no one behind: acting together for the
advancement of peace, sustainable development and human dignity for present
and future generations”.

• One (1) entry per section per year level in all strands.
• Winners per grade level/strand will compete in the final display of
their mural with face-to-face explanations in front of the judges.

• Winners will receive medal, certificate and gift/token.


MECHANICS
1.) Mural Painting Contest is one of the activities prepared by Social
Science Department for United Nations Week 2024 that will be held on
October 20-21, 2024.

2.) This art contest is open to all Senior High School Students by strand;
and it shall revolve around the theme, ““Leaving no one behind: acting
together
for the advancement of peace, sustainable development and human dignity
for present and future generations”.

3.) There will be one (1) entry per section for the contest.

4.) The size of panel board to be used by all participants is 4ft. x 8ft.
but they all allowed to use any kind of painting materials.
The following are the criteria for
judging:

► Interpretation - 25%
► Visual elements & Originality -
30%
► Over-all Impression - 20%

SING FOR PEACE CONTEST
Open to students.
Audition will be on
October 20, Monday.
All songs have message
about unity/peace.
Solo or duet performance.
ULTURAL PRESENTATIO
Cultural presentation
will be on October 24, Thursday.

The contest is open to all students


per strand with 25-30 members
to represent their stand.
