The document outlines an experiment to investigate how the length of a stainless steel rod affects the rate of conduction of heat. It defines conduction and discusses factors influencing it, such as cross-sectional area, temperature, and thickness. The results indicate that as the length of the rod increases, the rate of conductivity decreases.

Procedure
• Measure the length of the rod
• Measure the initial temperature of thr rods
• Light up the Bunsen burner using a matchstick
• Hold the rod using tongs
• Place one side of the rod directly on flame
• Place a thermometer on the other side
• Start the timer
• Measure the temperature of the ros every 30s until 3 minutes
• Repeat the experiment for all the lengths
• Repaet the experiment 3-4 times
