A young seagull was long due for his flying lessons.

But he
wasn’t the only one with the assignment, his brothers and
sister were to fly as well.
English assessment

Well as the day of the flying arrived, his brothers and
sister made it. They flew with their parents circling
and cackling proudly, as for the young seagull, he
was left stranded on the ledge not being able to take
a fly.
Every time he ran to the edge of the ledge, he was
intimated by the vast sea that spread across the
horizon. He felt his wings wouldn’t take his weight.
The seagull helpless, without courage and food was
left alone on the ledge with having to hear his
family taunt him. With the sun’s rapid descent the
seagull tried to get his family’s attention by
pretending to fall asleep, but none notices.
His mother saw him and enticed him with a piece of meat. He begged
her to feed him. All he got was more gibes. At last his mother flew to him
but stopped in front of him where he couldn’t reach the meat.
His mother wouldn’t come any closer maddened by
the sight of food he dived and for a movement
thought he fell but then he flew. After that he knew
no limits. And he rode the waves of the sea that once
petrified him. This was his story of his first flight.
