ENDURANCE
• Is the ability of the heart, lungs, and
blood vessels to supply oxygen to our
body tissues during sustained physical
activity. This allows the body to
endure physical movement for a
period of time. There would also be
effective oxygen delivery to the
tissues, allowing the individual a lower
respiration rate and the ability to
perform the role longer.
MUSCULAR
STRENGTH AND
ENDURANCE
• Muscular strength is the average force
that a muscle can produce in one
single effort. Gaining muscle strength
depends on factors such as gender,
age and physical attributes inherited.
• Muscular endurance is the ability of
the muscle to keep working (contract)
over a period of time.
FLEXIBILITY
• Is the ability to stretch through
the entire range of motion and
rotate the joints.
BODY
COMPOSITION
• Is the percentage of a
human’s body fat, bone
and water and muscle; it’s
also the ratio of lean
tissue to fat tissue in the
body.
Why is our health
status important to
• Health is wealth! know?
Most people give the highest
importance to wealth in their life even though the
consequence of getting it is risking their own health.
While the truth is you can live without good wealth but
without good health, it’s impossible to survive and you
can be wealthy if you have a healthy life. Awareness of
the health-related fitness of individuals and their
relevant interpretations will help the person efficiently
develop an action plan for observing a healthy lifestyle
and selecting suitable activities for areas that need
improvement.
BARRIERS

ACTIVE
LIFESTYLE
PERSONAL BARRIERS
• Given the latest technology and growth patterns, people's
lives have become both more convenient and simpler,
and less productive. We may also have reasons or their
own justifications for their inactivity which shapes their
attitude towards physical movement, enabling them to
live a sedentary life. Here are some of the people’s
excuses:
1. I don’t have time
2. I am always tired
3. I don’t know how to start
4. I am not motivated
ENVIRONMENTAL
BARRIERS
• The world we live in affects significantly our degree of
physical activity. Many factors in our environment affect
us. Obvious considerations include walking routes, bike
paths and recreation facilities accessibility. Additionally,
factors such as traffic, public transit availability, crime and
pollution may have an impact. Some environmental
variables include our social climate, for example family
and peer help and community spirit.
