Mobile Computing
What is Mobile Computing ?
What is Mobile Computing ?
Mobile Computing is a generic term
describing one's ability to use technology
while moving, as opposed to portable
computers, which are only practical for use
while deployed in a stationary
configuration. In other words, a technology
that allows transmission of data via a
computer, without having to be connected
to a fixed physical link is mobile computing.
Early 1970s
First concepts of mobile
computing emerge with early
portable terminals and
"brick" phones with limited
functionality.
Mid 1980s
Introduction of the "Gavilan
SC," the first device labeled
as a "laptop" with a
touchscreen.

Enhancement
Various streamline businesses use mobile computing
to rapidly update, improve and optimize business
processes with minimal effort. Since mobile devices
support flexible software updates, cloud integration,
and real-time data access, businesses can
implement new features, fix issues, and adapt to
changing needs quickly.
Technical and Other
Limitations (Disadvantages)
With advantages, Mobile
Computing obviously also
comes with
disadvantages.

Insufficient Bandwidth
Insufficient bandwidth in
mobile computing occurs
when the network can't
handle large amounts of data,
leading to slow internet
speeds, buffering, lag, and
delays. This problem is
common in crowded areas,
with weak signals, or when
many devices are connected
at once, affecting tasks like
