Geography?
• Geography is the study of the world
around you.

• Geography helps you to understand the


way the world is physically (what it looks
like), socially (the people that live in it and
why they live where they do) and
economically (the flow of money and
goods around the world).
Geography Strands
• There are three strands in
Junior Cycle Geography. They
are:

1. Exploring the physical world


2. Exploring how we interact
with the physical world
3. Exploring people, place and
change
