Generic feature can be done in four different ways
If noun is countable,
1. Indefinite article + singular countable noun a pen is powerful.
2. Definite article + singular countable noun the pen is powerful.
3. Zero article + plural countable noun pens are powerful.

If noun is non-countable,
4. Zero article + non countable noun love is god

If the noun is non-generic


1. I saw ____ pen on my table.
2. I gave you ____ pen yesterday.
3. I need ____ pen.

If the noun is non-generic


1. I saw ____ pen on my table. (Specific)
2. I gave you ____ pen yesterday. (Specific)
