A quadrilateral is a closed plane
figure consisting of four line segments
or sides. These sides may or may not
be congruent and parallel.

‘Quad’ which means four and ‘lateral’


is derived from the Latin word latus or
later; it means side.

Conditions that Guarantee a Quadrilateral a Parallelogram

1. A quadrilateral is a parallelogram if both pairs of opposite sides are congruent.

supplementary.
