DATAANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION

The description of the result is the eternity of a research project which enables the researcher
to reduce, summarize, organize, evaluate, interpret and communicate numerical information.
In order to find a meaningful answer to the research problem, the data must be processed,
analysed in systemic and some orderly coherent fashion so that the pattern and relationship can
be discerned.

Polit and Hungler (1999) reefer to data analysis as the systematic organization and
synthesis of research data, and the testing of a research hypothesis using those data.
Analysis and interpretation of data was done by using descriptive and inferential statistics
based on the objectives of the study and hypothesis to be tested.

A quantitative approach was adopted to assess the “A descriptive study to assess the knowledge
regarding hazards of junk food among B.Sc. Nursing Semester – II students studying at
Government College of nursing, Jaipur, Rajasthan.” The data was tabulated, analysed and
interpreted using descriptive and inferential statistics based on the objectives and hypothesis
formulated for the present study.

HYPOTHESIS

 H1-There will be a significant association between knregarding hazards of junk

food on health with t h e i r selected demographic variables among B.Sc. Nursing
Semester II students studying at Government College of nursing Jaipur at

 H0-There will not be a significant association between knowledge regarding

hazards of junk food on health with t h e i r selected demographic variables among
B.Sc. Nursing Semester II students studying at Government College of nursing. Jaipur
at 0.05 level of significance.
ORGANIZATION AND PRESENTATION OF DATA

Raw data was collected and entered in a master data sheet the statistical analysis. It was
interpreted using descriptive and inferential statistics. The data findings have been organised
tabalated and presented under following sections.

The data obtained was analyzed and presented in different section.
