BY-Shourya, Manit, Trisha and Kavya.J
LEARNING OBJECTIVE(L.0)
 Students will be able to understand types of angles.
 Students will learn to measure angles with a protractor.
Types of angles
There are Six types of Angle:
1) Acute angle
-An angle which is measuring less than 90 degrees is called an acute angle.
2) Straight angle
- Straight angle is an angle equal to 180 degrees.
3)Obtuse angle
-An obtuse angle is an angle measuring between 90 and 180 degrees.
4)Zero angle
-A zero angle is an angle that measures 0 degrees or 0 radians, and it represents no turn or rotation.
5) Reflex angle
-A reflex angle is an angle that is more than 180 degrees and less than 360 degrees.
6) Complete angle
Measuring a angle using a protractor

To measure an angle using a protractor, follow the steps below.

 Step 1: Line up the vertex of the angle with the dot at the center of the
protractor.
Step 2:Line up one side of the angle with 0 degrees on the protractor.
 Step 3:Read the protractor to see where the other side of the angle crosses the
number scale.
Recap quiz
Define the following :
a) Right angle
b) Complete angle
c) Reflex angle
