things with their bare hands. They
have a great capacity to create, to
make something useful and
beautiful from simple and common
objects.
They are natural craftsmen and
craftswomen.

Ruler or zigzag rule- this


is a measuring tool used
for measuring.

T-square. This is used to
mark horizontal lines.

Saw- It is a tool which consists of a thin,


metal blade or deck with sharp teeth used
for cutting wood.

Pliers used for cutting wires and pulling
out nails.

Screwdriver- used to turn the screw so that


it will go deep into the wood or metal.

Plane- used to make the wood level and


smooth.

Hammer- it is a tool with a metal head and
handle used for pounding nail.

Scissors- These are used in cutting


materials, like paper, thread, cloth,
cardboard, etc.

Hand drill- Used for drilling holes in


wood, shells, and other materials.

File- This is a steel tool with a


ridged surface for smoothening or
grinding wood.

This is a tree-like tropical grass
with hollow pointed stems.
Many things can be made out
of bamboo , like flower vases,
mini savings bank, napkin
holders , serving trays and etc.

This is a large thin wood available
in the lumberyard or in any
construction materials supply
store. Many articles can be made
out of it, such as medicine
cabinet, waste box, bench,
cabinet, and jewelry box.

lumberyard. Things made
from wood are toys, tables,
chairs, wooden shoes and
other decorations.

This is the hard outer

coconut fruit. Just like
