TEXT TYPES

Animals can be classified into two main

groups based on whether they have a
backbone or not. To begin, vertebrates, such
as fish, birds, and mammals, have a
backbone. On the other hand, invertebrates,
like insects and jellyfish, do not have a
backbone. For example, a lion is a
vertebrate, while a butterfly is an
invertebrate.
The human body is made up of
different parts, each with a specific
function. First, the brain controls thinking
and decision-making. Next, the lungs
help in breathing, while the heart pumps
blood to the entire body. In addition, our
skin protects us from injury, and our
bones give the body structure and
support.
Plants have several important parts
that help them survive and grow. First,
the roots absorb water and nutrients
from the soil. Next, the stem supports the
plant and transports nutrients and water.
In addition, the leaves make food through
photosynthesis. Finally, the flowers are
responsible for reproduction, attracting
insects like bees for pollination.
The water cycle explains how water
moves through the environment. First,
evaporation occurs when water from lakes
and oceans turns into vapor. Next, in
condensation, water vapor cools and forms
clouds. Then, during precipitation, water falls
back to the ground as rain or snow. Finally,
water collects in rivers, lakes, and oceans,
completing the cycle.
Weather can be categorized based on
the conditions we observe. First, sunny
weather brings clear skies and warmth,
perfect for outdoor activities. Next, rainy
weather brings water essential for plants
and rivers. In addition, cloudy weather
occurs when clouds cover the sky. Finally,
windy weather brings strong breezes that
can make kites soar.
Animals can be grouped according to
their habitats. First, aquatic animals, like
fish and crabs, live in water. Next,
terrestrial animals, such as tigers and
elephants, live on land. On the other
hand, aerial animals, such as birds and
bats, can fly. Finally, amphibians, like
frogs, can survive in both water and land
environments.
I. Topic Sentence
Animals can be classified into oviparous, viviparous, and ovoviviparous groups based on how they reproduce.

II. Body of the Paragraph

A. Oviparous Animals
Definition: Animals that lay eggs, which develop and hatch outside the mother’s body.
Examples: Birds, reptiles, and amphibians (e.g., chickens and frogs).

B. Viviparous Animals
Definition: Animals that give birth to live young, with the embryo developing inside the mother’s body.
Examples: Mammals (e.g., humans, dogs, and whales).

C. Ovoviviparous Animals
Definition: Animals that produce eggs that hatch inside the mother’s body, giving the appearance of live
birth.
Examples: Some fish, reptiles, and sharks (e.g., guppies and some snakes).

III. Concluding Sentence

By classifying animals as oviparous, viviparous, or ovoviviparous, we better understand the diversity in their
reproductive methods and how they adapt to their environments.
Animals can be classified into oviparous, viviparous, and
ovoviviparous groups based on their reproductive methods.
Oviparous animals, such as birds, reptiles, and amphibians, lay
eggs that develop and hatch outside the mother’s body.
Viviparous animals, like mammals, give birth to live young,
with the embryo developing inside the mother and receiving
nourishment until birth. On the other hand, ovoviviparous
animals, including some fish and snakes, produce eggs that
hatch inside the mother, giving the appearance of live birth.
These classifications highlight the diversity of reproductive
adaptations among animals.
Why is Studying Important?
Studying is essential because it prepares us for a
better future. It teaches us important skills like reading,
writing, and solving problems. With education, we gain
knowledge to help us understand the world and make
good decisions. It also opens opportunities for good
jobs and a more comfortable life. Without studying, it
can be harder to achieve our goals. That’s why
education is a key to success.
What is Weather?

Weather is the condition of the air, temperature, and sky in

a place over a short time. It can change daily, from sunny to
rainy or cloudy. The weather depends on factors like the wind,
temperature, and moisture in the air. For example, we wear
jackets when it’s cold and light clothes when it’s hot. Weather
also affects the activities we do, like playing outdoors or
staying inside. Understanding weather helps us prepare for the
day.
Why Should We Eat Fruits and Vegetables?

Eating fruits and vegetables is important for a healthy

body. They are rich in vitamins and minerals that help us
stay strong and fight off sickness. They also provide energy
for us to play and learn every day. Eating a variety of
colorful fruits and vegetables makes meals exciting and
fun. Without them, we might feel weak or get sick more
often. That’s why they are called "nature’s medicine."
How is a Rainbow Formed?

A rainbow is formed when sunlight passes through

raindrops in the air. The light bends and splits into seven
colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.
This process is called refraction. Rainbows usually appear
after it rains while the sun is still shining. They can also
form near waterfalls or fountains. Seeing a rainbow is a
beautiful reminder of the wonders of nature.
How Do Trees Help the Environment?

Trees are very important for keeping our environment

healthy. They produce clean oxygen, which we need to breathe.
Their roots hold the soil together and absorb water, preventing
floods and erosion. Trees also provide homes and food for
many animals, like birds and insects. In addition, they give
shade that keeps places cool on hot days. Without trees, life on
Earth would be harder for both people and animals.
How Do Typhoons Start?

Typhoons begin in the ocean when warm water evaporates

into the air. The warm, moist air rises and forms clouds, which
start spinning because of the Earth’s rotation. As the clouds
grow and spin faster, a typhoon is formed. Typhoons bring
strong winds and heavy rain, which can cause floods and
damage. They often happen in tropical areas where the water is
warm. Understanding typhoons helps us prepare and stay safe
during storms.
What Can the Sun Do?

The sun plays a vital role in supporting life on Earth. It

gives us light and heat, making our planet warm enough for
plants, animals, and people to live. Plants use sunlight to make
their own food through photosynthesis. The sun also provides
renewable energy through solar panels, which helps reduce
pollution. Additionally, the sunlight helps our bodies produce
vitamin D for strong bones. The sun’s energy is a gift we use
every day.
