Steps to follow to make a storyboard:

1. ‘Storyboardthat’ is one of the famous storyboard-making tools. You could open the web application by visiting https://www.storyboardthat.com/.

2. There are multiple plans available on the website but the free plan is sufficient to begin with. With the free plan, images will get exported with the
company watermark.

3. Once you open the website, click on the ‘Scenes’ menu located on the top menu bar.
Here, you will get a plethora of scenes that you could use in your storyboard. You could also use pre made categories like Home (Indoor), Home
(Outdoor), School, etc. to get the scene you need quickly. Just drag one of the suitable scenes on the artboard.

4. To put characters on the artboard, select the ‘Characters’ menu located on the top menu bar. Here too, you will get a good collection of different
characters. You could drag the character you need to use in your storyboard by just dragging it on the artboard. You could add multiple characters on
the artboard to create a scene.

5. Once you drag the character on the storyboard, you can customize it in terms of hair, skin, shoe, etc. colour, sitting positions, gestures, face emotions.
To customise the character, first select it and just click on the ‘Edit Pose’ button available on the right-hand side panel.
Once you click, one popup would open with all the character customization options. You could customize the character as per your needs here.

6. Once you are done with the customization, just click on the button ‘Update Pose’ to update the character.

7. You may have to play a bit around the character in terms of size and position to create a scene.

8. To add speech bubbles, click on the ‘Speech Bubbles’ menu located on the top menu bar. Here, you will get many options to insert speech bubbles. Just
drag one of the available speech bubbles on the artboard as per your need. You will have to resize and position it on the artboard.
To insert text into the speech bubble, just select it and start typing. You will also get text formatting options next to the bubble.

9. With this, one of the scenes in your storyboard is ready. To export the scene, you first will have to login into the app.

10. Click on the ‘Save and exit’ button on the right-hand side panel. You will be directed to the ‘My Most Recent Storyboard’. Click on the storyboard and you
will get to see multiple options to download. In the popup scroll down a bit and you will see the multiple download options in different formats. Click on
the ‘High-Res Image’ and one more popup would appear. Ignoring pricing options, scroll to the bottom and click on the button ‘Download a High-
Resolution Image of My Storyboard Anyway’ to start downloading.
