Formulating Objectives
Specific –there should not be any ambiguity in the action you are going to undertake. It
should be focused and well defined.
Measurable – it should be clear as how will you are going to measure progress and
determine when your action is achieved.
Achievable –you should have the support, resources and facilities required to carry out the
action.
Relevant –the action should be essential to the achievement of your research aim
Time bound – one must realistically complete the action in the available time alongside
your other research tasks.
