• This advanced firefighting robotic system independently detects and extinguishes fire. They are
many possibilities a fire can start in an industrial area are in any remote area.In case of gas
leakage, there may be an explosion.so in order to overcome this issue, safeguard live of our
hero. This firefighting robot system is powered by Arduino uno development board it consists
of the HC-SR04 ultra-sonic sensor mounted on a servo motor for obstacles detection and free
path navigation, it is also equipped with the fire flame sensor for detecting and approaching
fire it also makes use of water tank and spray mechanism for extinguishing the fire. Water
spraying nozzle is mounted on servo motor to cover maximum area. Water is pumped from the
main water tank to the water nozzle with the help of 12V pump. This water pump needs driver
circuit as it consumes a lot of current, much more than the controller provides. As a result,in
order to resolve this issue our system was developed.
COMPONENTS USED
• Arduino uno
• ultrasonic sensor
• fire sensor
• LED
• Motor driver
• Push Buttons
• Buzzer
MAIN COMPONENTS
ARDUINO UNO
*Arduino UNO is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328P.
It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6
analog inputs, a 16 MHz ceramic resonator, a USB
connection, a power jack, an ICSP header
and a reset button.
*The flame detection response can depend on its fitting. It includes an alarm system,
a natural gas line, propane & a fire suppression system.
*This sensor is used in industrial boilers. The main function of this is to give
authentication whether the boiler is properly working or not.
MOTOR DRIVER
*It has advantageous features such as the ability to detect the source
of fire, extinguish it and increase the knowledge about fire behavior
from the incident area.
*This robot can extinguish different types of fire A, B, C, D, F/K,
electric and metal fire without spreading in the shortest time.
CONCLUSION AND
RESULT
• If the fire is detected with the help of flame sensors, MCU operates the water pump
mechanism through a relay circuit. The Fire Fighting Robot is constructed with locally
available materials and obstacle detection test and fire sensing working are checked to
observe its effectiveness in a different situation. Fire sensors work better at darker places.
It can detect fire abruptly before it spreads. The fire fighting robot is effective enough to
fight against fire in a small area.So by executing this project we can resist the losses that
occurs.
