The young men and women involved in these extracurricular activities consistently demonstrate tenacity, teamwork, and commitment. In addition, they continually develop responsibility, pride, loyalty, leadership, service, self-discipline, and self-confidence. As leaders, students are encouraged to achieve personal goals in regards to their athletic abilities and their social and emotional development. FISD CHEERLEADING PHILOSOPHY OF PARTICIPATION
Participation in the regular curriculum is a right afforded to
each student, while participation in the extracurricular program is a privilege that carries additional expectations for acceptable conduct. While students engage in, perform, compete, or participate in extracurricular activities they represent themselves, their student body, and the school district, whether in our out of uniform. Since participation in extracurricular activities is a privilege and not a right, Frisco ISD is authorized to set higher standards for these participants than it would for those students who choose not to participate in these activities.
