Ja darbības vārds beidzas ar līdzskaņu un pirms


tā ir īss patskanis, tad līdzskaņs tiek dubultots

• Если глагол кончается на –е, то –е убираем
и вместо неё добавляем –ing
write – writing make – making
shine – shining ride – riding

• Если глагол кончается на согласную, а


перед ней стоит краткая гласная, то
согласная удваивается
