Week 2 Lecture 2.2 (1)

The document provides an introduction to computer graphics, covering key concepts such as imaging, modeling, rendering, and animation. It explains techniques like warping, metamorphosis, photorealistic and non-photorealistic rendering, and polygon morphing. The document emphasizes the algorithms used for visual simulations and the representation of both 2D and 3D images.

 Warping
Warping may be used for correcting image distortion as well as for creative
purposes (e.g., morphing). The same techniques are equally applicable to
video.

 Metamorphosis
Image metamorphosis, or image morphing, is a popular technique
for creating a smooth transition between two images.

 Photorealistic Rendering Non-Photorealistic Rendering

In computer graphics, photorealistic rendering attempts to make
artificial images of simulated 3d environments that look "just like the real
world.
So non-photorealistic rendering (NPR) is any technique that produces
images of simulated 3d world in a style other than realism.
