prosper achieving their goals and aspirations.

community often study and conduct environmental assessments to
identify the areas for improvement and eventually lay down prograttis
and projects to assist the community to better the services expected by

Profile of the Community
The important elements of Community are:

1. Demographies or Characteristics of
population - It tells about the movement of
population in the community that you will serve;

2. History - allows you to identify certain patterns


of change and people's way of adapting to these
changes that can be useful in plotting your
activities. The events of the past that contributed to
the development of the community.
3. Understanding the economy, culture, and
community structures

- Economy consists of the economic systems of a


country or other area; the labor, capital, and land
resources; and the manufacturing, production
trade, distribution, consumption of goods &
services of that area; the income level of the
people. Culture is about the ways of living of the
people. Structures refer to physical, political, &
social structures.
