ROAD TRAFFIC SIGN Traffic signs are utilized as a method of warning and guiding drivers, helping to regulate the flow of traffic among vehicles, pedestrians, motorcycles, bicycles and others who travel the streets, highways and other roadways. REGULATORY - Signs that inform road users of traffic laws and regulations which, if disregarded, will constitute an offense. 1. Priority Traffic Priority traffic signs indicate the order in which vehicles should pass intersection points. Vehicles often come into conflict with other vehicles and pedestrians because their intended courses of travel intersect, and thus interfere with each other's routes. STOP SIGN -driver must stop at designated STOP LINE. No parking within 6 meters.
The stop sign is used to assign right of
way at an intersection and to make sure that traffic flows smoothly and predictably. GIVE AWAY - Give way means to slow down and, if necessary, stop in order to prevent a crash from happening. You must always give way at a give way sign and check it's safe to continue. Purpose - merging drivers must prepare to stop if necessary to let a driver on another approach proceed. A driver who stops or slows down to let another vehicle through has yielded the right of way to that vehicle. DIRECTION SIGN- A sign which contains only information designed to direct pedestrian or vehicular traffic to the location of a facility on the property on which such sign is located. DIRECTION SIGNS
Two way - traffic signs warn drivers that
they're leaving a one-way roadway and entering a roadway with opposing traffic. Right Lane Must Turn Right - sign will notify drivers ahead of time of the specified turning rule.Prevent drivers in the right lane from merging left in dangerous fashion. Mandatory signs are road signs that are used to set the obligations of all traffic that uses a specific area of road. A stop sign is a traffic sign designed to notify drivers that they must come to a complete stop and make sure the intersection is safely clear of vehicles and pedestrians before continuing past the sign. The No Pedestrian Crossing (R9-3) sign may be used to prohibit pedestrians from crossing a roadway at an undesirable location or public building where a crossing is not designated.
