At a local CLC, the ALS learner council is organizing a fundraiser
to raise money for new sports equipment in preparation for
incoming Provincial ALSLYMPICS 2025. The goal is to sell 1,000
raffle tickets, each costing
₱ 5.00. So far, they’ve sold 400 tickets. The ALS learner council
wants to know a few things to assess their progress and plan for
the remaining tickets:
1.What is the ratio of tickets sold to tickets remaining?
2.If the student council wants to raise ₱ 5,000, how much
money would they have to sell based on the proportion of

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
HISTORY OF INTEGERS
The integer was introduced in the year 1563
when Arbermouth Holst was busy with his
bunnies and elephants experiment. He kept
count of the amount of bunnies in the cage and
-
after 6 months he found the amount of bunnies
incresed. Then he thought of inventing a
number system of adding and multiplication.
-
He spent 15 years developing this number
system.
INTEGERS
Integers are whole numbers: positive numbers,
negative numbers, and zero. When you add
two integers together you will always get an
integer as the result. However dividing two
-
integers could end in a non-integer.
-
‘Zahlen’, the German word for integers or
number.
What are INTEGERS?
• Subtraction: 10 - (-5) = 15 -
• Multiplication: (-4) x (3) = -

• Subtraction: 10 - (-5) = 15 -
