What is a computer
A computer is a digital electrical
device that may be configured to
automatically perform a series of
logical or mathematical operations.
Programs are generic sets of
operations that can be carried out by
modern computers.They can be used
to store and process data.
What are the main parts that make up a computer
There are 10 main parts of you standard computer
Monitor
CPU(Central Processing Unit)
Mouse
RAM(Random Access Memory)
Keyboard
ROM(Read Only Memory)
Storage
GPU(Graphics Processing unit)
MotherBoard
Sound card

Speaker
Central Processing
Unit
The component of a computer
system that controls the
interpretation and execution of
instructions. The CPU of a PC
consists of a single
microprocessor, while the CPU
of a more powerful mainframe
consists of multiple processing
devices, and in some cases,
hundreds of them.
Ram (Random Access
memory)

Your computer RAM is

essentially short term memory
where data is stored as the
processor needs it. This isn't to
be confused with long-term
data that's stored on your hard
drive, which stays there even
when your computer is turned
off.
ROM(Read Only
Memory)

Read-only memory is a type of

non-volatile memory used in
computers and other electronic
devices. Data stored in ROM
cannot be electronically
modified after the manufacture
of the memory device.
GPU(Graphics
Processing unit)

A graphics processing unit

(GPU) is an electronic circuit
that can perform mathematical
calculations at high speed.
Computing tasks like graphics
rendering, machine learning
(ML), and video editing require
the application of similar
mathematical operations on a
large dataset.
Sound card

A sound card is a computer

component responsible for
generating and recording
audio. It enables users to
connect analog speakers,
headphones and microphones
to their computer. Most modern
computers have a built-in
sound card in the motherboard.
Speaker

Speakers are standard output

devices used with computer
systems that enable the
listener to listen to a sound as
an outcome. Some speakers
are used once they have been
linked to a computer, while
others may be connected to
any type of sound system.
Monitor

A monitor is an electronic
output device used to display
information being entered and
processed on a computer. The
primary use of a monitor is to
display images, text, video,
and graphics information
generated by the computer via
a computer's video card.
Mouse

A mouse is a small device that

a computer user pushes across
a desk surface in order to point
to a place on a display screen
and to select one or more
actions to take from that
position. The mouse first
became a widely used
computer tool when Apple
Computer made it a standard
part of the Apple Macintosh.
Keyboard

A computer keyboard is an
input device used to enter
characters and functions into
the computer system by
pressing buttons, or keys. It is
the primary device used to
enter text. A keyboard typically
contains keys for individual
letters, numbers and special
characters, as well as keys for
specific functions
Storage

A hardware device which can

be used to store digital data
and applications which may be
in the form of images, video,
audio, etc. is called a storage
device. It is a key component of
a computer and the hard drive
SSD and NVMEs are some of its
examples.
MotherBoard

A motherboard is the main

printed circuit board (PCB) in a
computer. The motherboard is
a computer's central
communications backbone
connectivity point, through
which all components and
external peripherals connect.
Motherboards can be found in
virtually all computers,
especially desktop and laptop
PCs.
How to build a PC
Building a PC is a captivating journey,
akin to crafting a customized
technological marvel. It begins with an
exhilarating quest for the perfect
components: the powerhouse CPU, the
graphical prowess of a GPU, the swift
responsiveness of RAM, and the
capacious storage to hold digital worlds.
Assembling these parts is an art, akin to
fitting together an intricate puzzle. The
motherboard serves as the hub,
interlinking these components into a
harmonious system.
