Freecharge.in business model is around commissions from couponing partners and advertising. At present, the total number of team members is 35 which include the customer care, sales and marketing, technology and logistics. Planning to increase the head count to 100 within 2-3 months with additional offices coming up in Delhi and Bangalore. One of the biggest challenges freecharge.in face even today is the supporting infrastructure. Freecharge .in current revenve is 1.6 crore. Projected revenue in 2015 is 125 crore. Freecharge.in, has raised Rs 20 crore ($3.9 million) from Sequoia Capital in its series A round of funding. Freecharge had also received an undisclosed seed funding from Sequoia Capital last year. The fund raised will be used to add new products and merchants who can use Freecharge to target consumers and promote their products/services.
