Rule 1: Capitalize major words in titles: all verbs (including linking verbs), nouns,
adjectives, adverbs, and pronouns.
Rule 2: When a capitalized word is a hyphenated compound, capitalize both words.
Rule 3: Capitalize the first word after a colon or a dash in a title.
Rule 4: Lowercase the articles the, a, and an.
Rule 5: Lowercase prepositions, regardless of length, except when they are used
adverbially or adjectivally (up in Look Up, on in The On Button, etc.)
Rule 6: Lowercase the conjunctions for, and, nor, but, or, yet, and so.
Note: These rules apply in the title page, not in the reference list.
