PARTICIPANTS: GR 12 Students
RATONALE: To let the participants realize that they are loved, thus they should value themselves and
manifest this in their actions toward themselves and others
OBJECTIVES:
1.To assist them in discovering the innate value of themselves – that they are loved, beautiful and precious
in the eyes of God life
2. To direct the students to the person of Jesus Christ, the perfect model of living a moral
3. To help them understand the value of respect and love for themselves and others
GRACE: Lord Jesus, I beg for the grace to have a deep felt realization that I am loved, precious, and was
fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image and likeness so that I would grow and live in respect and love
for myself and others, following Your examples.
Note: Advisers must meet the participants the day before the scheduled day for a brief orientation of what
a recollection is all about. The students must be reminded to come punctually, and bring journal
notebooks, ball pen, construction/bond papers, crayons, scissors, flowers (for the flower giving ceremony)
and snacks. They will not be allowed to go home at lunch break to keep their disposition for the
recollection. Hence, they must bring their own lunch. Before the start of the recollection, their cellphones
will be turned in to the class adviser and will be returned only after the recollection.

Materials to be prepared by the participants: journal notebooks, pen, construction/bond papers, crayons,
scissors, flowers (for the flower giving ceremony, pls. provide as many as you can; it may be made out of
paper, plastic or picked from your yard)

RECOLLECTION PROPER
7:30- Setting the Set the tone of the recollection by playing a meditation
8:00 Recollection song – Meditation Music.
AM Disposition (5 -
10 minutes) Start on time and with a prayer- Prayer for First Thing in

minutes) Ask the participants to put on their name tags for easy

to help you manage the recollection. SOAP is a basic rule for
recollections. SILENCE, OPENNESS, ACCEPTANCE, PRAYER. If
you wish to add your own rules, you may do so. Remember
to let the adviser collect cellphones at the beginning of the
recollection. Explain why this must be done and assure
them that it will be returned after the recollection.

Almost everyone hurts somewhere or has something wrong
with them physically.

exercise more, eat less? Perhaps, I need more sleep.

Is anyone today honest? Will we have another world war?
What about the end of the world?

Am I going to continue my studies? I receive a lot of bullies
at school.
What will happen if my parents know that I have a
girl/boyfriend?
Should I still hang out with my B.I. friends?
It is a choice.
Love is mainly seen in how we treat people especially
people who cannot do us any good.
