INTRODUCTION

Corruption is a global phenomenon and no country seems


to escape it anymore.
Undoubtedly, it constitutes a significant obstacle to
sustainable development, especially in developing
countries.
In Burkina Faso, corruption occurs in all sectors of
activities: public procurement, police, customs, town
halls, justice, private sectors etc.
The causes of corruption are indeed multiple.
Definition of corruption

We can define corruption as


“the abuse of entrusted of power for private gain”.
Depending on the amount of money lost and the
sector where it occurs, corruption can be
classified as
Grand corruption
Petty corruption
Political corruption

In BF, we have many legal provisions that severely
punish corruption ( the offence of appearance act).
The judiciary and the control services are
responsible for implementing existing laws.
To these, we can also mention

CONCLUSION

Corruption is a cancer for society, undermining


development efforts and jeopardizing the future.

The fight against corruption is a fight for everyone


and all legal means are good to achieve it.

We must all say NO TO CORRUPTION.
