aspects of drug use ( introducing Insulin to a TYPE II DIABETIC patient)

1. Patient was greeted and offered a humble welcome

communication Etiquette were followed.

3. Need for insulin therapy is clearly eloborated in


patient’s own native language.

4. Complex medical terminologies were avoided. Simple


language is used to explain why to use, when to
use, how to use aspects of insulin injection

hypoglycemia imparted & informations about
immediate home remedy for hypoglycemia
correction was also given.

6. Patient was shown demonstration about the usage of


insulin injection . Patient encouraged to use it on
his/her own.

buying appropriate Insulin syringe, safe disposal

compliance in taking the medicine in long term. Need
for long term continuous therapy is also gently insisted
stating the complications in a non threatening manner,
if treatment is discontinued.

providing pain control while minimizing toxicity, use
disorder, or the risk of use disorder and implementing
safeguards to reduce drug diversion.

• Inappropriate opioid analgesic prescribing: non-prescribing,


inadequate prescribing, excessive prescribing, or continued
prescribing despite evidence of the lack of effective opioid
analgesic treatment.

signs are not resolving, patients should be pre informed to get medical treatment as
early as possible.
