Student Management System Presentation

The Student Management System (SMS) is designed to efficiently manage and organize student information, allowing for easy access, modification, and automated grade calculation. The project addresses the challenges faced by educational institutions in handling large volumes of data through an OOP-based structure and modular design. Future enhancements may include GUI integration, database connectivity, and role-based user access.

Introduction
• A Student Management System (SMS) is
designed to manage and organize student
information efficiently.

• The system allows for adding, editing, and

retrieving student data along with managing
marks and grades.
Objectives of the Project
• - Efficient student data handling
• - Easy access and modification of records
• - Automated grade calculation
• - Reduce manual work and errors
Problem Statement
• Educational institutions face difficulties
managing increasing volumes of student data.

• Manual processes are time-consuming and

error-prone.

• There is a need for a centralized and

automated solution.
Techniques & Methods Used
• - Object-Oriented Programming
• - Use of Classes and Collections (Lists,
Dictionaries)
• - File Handling for data persistence
• - Modular code for scalability
• - Microsoft Visual Studio Code
System Design / Architecture
• The system is designed using an OOP-based
structure:

• - Student class handles data fields

• - Collection (list) stores all student objects
• - Functions manage operations like add/edit/view

• Modular and maintainable design.

Implementation Screenshots
• Screenshots include:
• - Add Student Form
• - Edit Student Marks
• - Grade Calculation Output

• (Insert screenshots in actual presentation)

Testing & Results
• - System tested with various student records
• - Accurate grade calculations
• - Handles updates and data retrieval smoothly
• - No crashes or data loss observed during
testing
Conclusion & Future Scope
• Conclusion:
• - Simplifies student data management
• - Improves reliability and accessibility

• Future Scope:
• - GUI integration
• - Database connectivity
• - Role-based user access
