I have broad interests in computer systems and machine learning, currently focusing on system platforms for large scale data streaming, analytics and storage.
A couple of career highlights:
- Part of a small 5-person team working to make Kafka Streams the leading distributed streaming architecture in the world.
- Led the work on prototyping and shipping the first software-defined storage architecture at Microsoft.
- Worked on one of the earliest prototypes of a self-managing data center while at CMU (pre-cloud). PhD thesis on "What-if analysis of computer systems" blends machine learning techniques with designing predictable systems.
