The 5th European Innovative Textile Convention will take place on January 21st and 22nd, 2015 in Northern France. The two-day event will feature presentations and workshops on developing textiles that can harvest, store and transfer energy. On the first day at the Hippodrome in Marcq-en-Baroeul, speakers will discuss key energy issues and innovations such as piezoelectric fibers, smart textiles, and power transfer in flexible structures. The second day will include talks on topics like water electrolysis with textile electrodes and printed electronics on flexible substrates. In the afternoon, participants can attend workshops on using connected textiles and clothing to harvest energy. The goal is to generate new ideas for

This workshop should show how textiles connected to your smart phone will help satisfy the needs of our new ways of life.
