 eTwinning offers a
platform for staff
(teachers, head
teachers, librarians,
etc.), working in a school
in one of the European
countries involved, to
communicate,
collaborate, develop
projects, share and, in
short, feel and be part of
the most exciting
learning community in
Europe.
http://www.etwinning.pl
 Almost 6,000 eTwinners participated in the
2017 survey and we are delighted to
announce the results.
 90% of the respondents reported that the
top skills most impacted by eTwinning are
their ability to teach cross-curricular skills
and project-based teaching skills.
 However, eTwinning’s impact not only
affects teachers but also their schools and
students. Students are not only becoming
more creative but also more collaborative
with their teachers and fellow students.
 Over 90% of respondents state that
eTwinning has had a positive impact on
increasing student motivation and
fostering collaborative work among
them.
 Around 80% of respondents believe
eTwinning has had a particularly positive
impact at school level on improving the
relationship between students and
teachers!
http://www.etwinning.pl
 eTwinning is a vibrant community of
more than half a million
teachers working
in 182,000schools. More than
61,000 innovative projects have been
carried out, involving more than
2,000,000 excited students across
the continent over the years.
 The full report “eTwinning Twelve
Years On: Impact on teachers’
practice skills, and professional
development opportunities, as
reported by eTwinners” will be
online soon. Until then, check
the summary of the report. Find out
why you should join the biggest
community of teachers in Europe,
and inspire your learners and school!

 The concept of recognition for work done in
eTwinning has been in existence since the
start with Quality Labels being available to
teachers for their projects both at national
and European level. However, these labels
are applied only to the work of individual
teachers in projects. In order to recognise
the work done at school level, a new label
is now available to apply for – the
eTwinning School Label.
 The principle behind this new label is that
eTwinning wants to recognise and appraise
the involvement, commitment, dedication
not only of scattered eTwinners, but of
teams of teachers and school leaders
within the same school.
 The concept of attaining the status of an
eTwinning School is that of a
developmental journey with components
that can be objectively assessed. It is not a
competition, but rather a progression from
one level to the next.
https://www.mindomo.com
 Have a high visibility at European Level
 Form a European network of eTwinning
leading schools to inspire the future
development of eTwinning
 Be recognised as leaders in the area of:
› Digital practice
› eSafety practice
› Innovative and creative approaches to
pedagogy
› Promoting continuous professional
development of staff
› Promoting collaborative learning
practices with staff and students
 Be able to show their eTwinning School
Label in all their promotional and
information materials.
 Awarded school staff and principals will be
invited to become involved in dedicated
professional development programmes.
http://etwinning.es
 The workshops were numerous
with a big variety of themes and
were designed to help
participants not only acquire new
skills but also hone their existing
ones. The workshops evolved
around the two pillars of
eTwinning, namely building
teachers’ pedagogical and ICT
skills and encouraging the
European cooperation, with the
objective to train the participants,
share good practices, improve
the collaboration among the
eTwinning ambassadors, and last
but not least empower them to
their task which is to support their
fellow colleagues.
http://blog.datumbox.com
The program may include kindergartens,
primary schools, junior high schools and
high schools, both state and private
institutions (with public school
qualifications - implementing the current
core curriculum) from European Union
countries, as well as from the Former
Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Albania,
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland,
Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Norway, Serbia
and Turkey. The program also offers the
opportunity to cooperate with partners
participating in eTwinning Plus - they are
institutions from countries neighboring the
European Union - Armenia, Azerbaijan,
Georgia, Moldova, Tunisia and Ukraine.
The whole school can be involved in the
implementation of the project: teachers of
all subjects, students with tutors, school
heads, librarians, school pedagogues and
other employees.
http://moodle.etwinning.net
 The use of computer, Internet,
various software, camera, camera,
tools that students use in their free
time, which makes the classes much
more interesting and more engaging;
Foreign languages are used for direct
communication with peers - partners
in the project. The need for a
smoother, smoother conversation,
agreements mobilizes students to
learn the language; The subject of
the project is very easy to integrate
into the core curriculum of even a few
of any subjects taught in the school,
and to be implemented as part of
scheduled activities, making the
educational content much more
attractive.
http://www.sp6.zabrze.pl

The National Quality Label is awarded by the
National eTwinning Office to those teachers
whose project work has reached a certain high
level. The purpose of awarding the National
Quality Label is to award teachers and schools for
the implementation of interesting projects that
meet a number of criteria, such as pedagogical
innovation and creativity, integration with the
curriculum, communication and information
exchange between partner schools, cooperation
between partner schools, and the use of
technology. National Quality Badges are awarded
on an ongoing basis throughout the year. If at
least two partner schools from different countries
received National Quality Badges and at least one
of them was nominated for the European Quality
Label, they will receive the Badge in the next
edition in October. Badges entitle teachers to
participate in national and European competitions,
respectively.
https://www.youtube.com

eTwinning is easily accessible - all
materials and tools necessary to start
cooperation are freely available on the
European portal www.etwinning.net. On
this platform, the partners communicate,
exchange information and together create
content and content of the project, using
various tools, such as chat rooms or video
conferencing. eTwinning encourages the
learning and use of information and
communication technologies (ICT) and
active methods of working with the student.
Projects can cover a variety of topics and
issues, and combine issues in various
school subjects in an innovative way, while
allowing the student's knowledge to be
enriched in accordance with the core
curriculum.
