The NetSuite OpenAir Connector provides a connection between OpenAir and third party software. NO EXCESSIVE USE OF THE SERVICE
Providing an External HTTP or HTTPS Port
As the Service is a multi-tenant service offering on shared databases,
customers may not use
the Service in excess of limits or thresholds that NetSuite considers
commercially reasonable
for the Service. If NetSuite reasonably concludes that a customer’s
use is excessive and/or
will cause immediate or ongoing performance issues for one or more
of NetSuite’s other
customers, NetSuite may slow down or throttle such customer’s
excess use until such time
that the customer’s use stays within reasonable limits. If a customer’s
particular usage pattern
requires a higher limit or threshold, then the customer should procure
a subscription to the
Service that accommodates a higher limit and/or threshold that more
effectively aligns with the
customer’s actual usage pattern.

NetSuite OpenAir provides OpenAir Web Services as a layer for the
exchange of NetSuite
OpenAir data between the main site and peripheral programs. These
programs include
partnered Web sites, OpenAir in-house applications that don't need
direct database access, and
third party applications indirectly supported through OpenAir. Before
you begin using this
service, we recommend that you review Best Practices.
The application programming interface (API) is data-centric, but it is
not a direct line into
the OpenAir database. While it provides access to much of the
information on OpenAir, it is
a layer of indirection from the actual database structure. OpenAir's
database structure may
change, but applications that use the API will not need to change.

Web servers are one of the most targeted public faces of an organization, because of the sensitive data they usually host. Securing a web server is as important as securing the website or web application itself and the network around it. If you have a secure web application and an insecure web server, or vice versa, it still puts your business at a huge risk. Your company’s security is as strong as its weakest point. Although securing a web server can be a daunting operation and requires specialist expertise, it is not an impossible task. Long hours of research and an overdose of coffee and take away food, can save you from long nights at the office, headaches and data breaches in the future. Irrelevant of what web server software and operating system you are running, an out of the box configuration is usually insecure. Therefore one must take some necessary steps in order to increase web server security. Below is a list of tasks one should follow when securing a web server. 1. Remove Unnecessary Services Default operating system installations and configurations, are not secure. Nowadays apps satisfy a wide array of requirements but are particularly very useful for educational institutions trying to realize their mobile learning systems or for companies wishing to bolster their businesses. A company/institute that wants to perform web filtering, caching, user monitoring etc. and allow Internet access only after authentication might use an explicit proxy. It has been observed that most of the apps that need to connect to the Internet through an explicit proxy, do not work whatsoever. In this paper, a solution has been proposed to get the apps working without having to avoid the use of a proxy server. The solution is developed around transparent proxy and makes use of a captive portal for authentication. Oracle VM VirtualBox was used to develop a test bed for the experiment and pfSense was used as the firewall which has both proxy server and captive portal services integrated on a single platform. When tested, Windows 8 apps as well as Ubuntu apps worked well without sacrificing proxy server services such as web filtering. The proposed solution is widely applicable and cost-effective as it uses open source software and essentially the same hardware as used for explicit proxy deployments.

This distributed web-caching helps reduce access delays of frequently requested web content (web pages, files - pdfs, images,etc.) within the LAN by more than 50% compared to a LAN without this caching system. Further, this model helps in reducing load on the access links as every repeated request need not be fetched from the main server located in some other geographical area. The distribution of caching servers in the LAN aim at load balancing the requests and also tackle the issue of single point of failure as in a centralized caching system.

2. 2 Netsuite OpenAir Connector Release Notes The Anypoint Connector for NetSuite OpenAir is a closed source Enterprise connector which provides a connection between OpenAir and third party software.

4. 4 Providing an External HTTP or HTTPS Port NetSuite OpenAir includes functionality provided by HighCharts JS software, which is owned by and licensed through Highsoft Solutions AS. Sample Code NetSuite Inc. may provide sample code in SuiteAnswers, the Help Center, User Guides, or elsewhere through help links. All such sample code is provided “as is” and “as available,” for use only with an authorized NetSuite Service account, and is made available as a SuiteCloud Technology subject to the SuiteCloud Terms of Service at www.netsuite.com/tos. NetSuite may modify or remove sample code at any time without notice.

5. 5 NO EXCESSIVE USE OF THE SERVICE Providing an External HTTP or HTTPS Port As the Service is a multi-tenant service offering on shared databases, customers may not use the Service in excess of limits or thresholds that NetSuite considers commercially reasonable for the Service. If NetSuite reasonably concludes that a customer’s use is excessive and/or will cause immediate or ongoing performance issues for one or more of NetSuite’s other customers, NetSuite may slow down or throttle such customer’s excess use until such time that the customer’s use stays within reasonable limits. If a customer’s particular usage pattern requires a higher limit or threshold, then the customer should procure a subscription to the Service that accommodates a higher limit and/or threshold that more effectively aligns with the customer’s actual usage pattern.

6. 6 NO EXCESSIVE USE OF THE SERVICE Providing an External HTTP or HTTPS Port NetSuite OpenAir provides OpenAir Web Services as a layer for the exchange of NetSuite OpenAir data between the main site and peripheral programs. These programs include partnered Web sites, OpenAir in-house applications that don't need direct database access, and third party applications indirectly supported through OpenAir. Before you begin using this service, we recommend that you review Best Practices. The application programming interface (API) is data-centric, but it is not a direct line into the OpenAir database. While it provides access to much of the information on OpenAir, it is a layer of indirection from the actual database structure. OpenAir's database structure may change, but applications that use the API will not need to change.
