Creative Equals aims to increase gender representation and equality within creative departments at advertising agencies. They want agencies to create more opportunities for women to succeed, such as hiring, mentoring, and supporting women to advance their careers. This is important because women make up over half the population and influence most consumer purchasing decisions, yet only 3% of creative directors are women. By increasing diversity of perspectives within creative teams, agencies can better understand and appeal to female consumers and avoid losing touch with the fastest growing demographic. Creative Equals will track progress by monitoring gender representation data with agency and recruitment partners.
Our annual report finds significant numbers of startups continue to have no women in leadership, yet a growing percentage have programs in place to change that.
This document discusses how today's entry-level employees may not be fully prepared for the demands of professional work. It outlines three key challenges: 1) an impending labor shortage as Baby Boomers retire leaving fewer Gen X workers to fill roles, 2) Millennials expect 12 specific factors ("deal breakers") from their jobs, and 3) research shows 18-28 year olds are in a new life stage of "emerging adulthood" focused on identity development that makes workplace expectations difficult. The presentation recommends organizations accelerate employees' development through training, experiences, and supportive management to close gaps between current skills and requirements.
Gender diversity in tech is a broken system. There is no magic to fix it. The good news is that, the more you try different approaches, the more you learn and the better you get at it.
The document summarizes the results of a career barriers survey. Over 81% of respondents felt they were facing barriers to their career goals. Most barriers were external, with 42% feeling their company does not support career growth or they lack the right experience. While 37% did not know where to take their career next. Respondents used methods like reading blogs and books more than directly discussing barriers with others. The summary suggests graduates will need to take responsibility for their own career path and vision due to changing workplace structures.

Companies with higher levels of female leadership and gender diversity on their boards experience greater financial returns and profitability. Studies show companies with 30% or more women in leadership roles have profit margins 6% higher on average than companies with less female leadership. Teams with more women also tend to have higher collective intelligence as measured by performance on tasks. However, women remain underrepresented at senior levels in companies and face barriers to advancement. Closing the gender gap in leadership requires addressing unconscious biases, improving hiring and promotion practices, and developing women's careers through mentorship and access to critical experiences.
The upgrading of workforce skills is key to the competitiveness of SMEs. In today’s business environment there is a premium on innovation that enables firms to develop new products and services, new production processes and new business models. This requires both in-house innovation and the ability to absorb knowledge from other firms and organisations, both of which call for a skilled labour force. Skills are also a critical but understated resource for entrepreneurship seen in the sense of business creation. Similarly to workforce skills, entrepreneurship skills will boost the competitiveness of local businesses thanks to the improved strategic and management competences of the entrepreneur.
This document summarizes the key findings of a global gender diversity report compiled by Hays based on a survey of over 11,500 respondents across 25 countries. Some of the main findings include:
- Women have nearly equal ambition to men for reaching senior roles like director and CEO, but significantly fewer women actually attain these roles, showing companies are not effectively promoting female talent.
- Fewer than 50% of respondents globally feel they have opportunities to self-promote and communicate career ambitions, which is important for career development. This number is lower for women (47%) compared to men (53%).
- Developed markets like the US and Germany lag behind other regions in measures of female ambition and opportunities for self-promotion,
This survey of 197 economic development professionals provides insights into the challenges they face and priorities for their organizations. The top challenges cited were balancing job demands with changing priorities (21.5%) and dealing with political realities (13.1%). Maintaining new business outreach/attraction (21.5%) and existing business outreach/retention (17.3%) were seen as most important weekly tasks. When asked what advice they would offer others, 25% said to continue professional development and obtain certification. The survey highlights both the demanding nature of the work and the commitment of economic developers.

TrustArc Webinar: Consumer Expectations vs Corporate Realities on Data Broker...TrustArc
Most consumers believe they’re making informed decisions about their personal data—adjusting privacy settings, blocking trackers, and opting out where they can. However, our new research reveals that while awareness is high, taking meaningful action is still lacking. On the corporate side, many organizations report strong policies for managing third-party data and consumer consent yet fall short when it comes to consistency, accountability and transparency.
This session will explore the research findings from TrustArc’s Privacy Pulse Survey, examining consumer attitudes toward personal data collection and practical suggestions for corporate practices around purchasing third-party data.
Attendees will learn:
- Consumer awareness around data brokers and what consumers are doing to limit data collection
- How businesses assess third-party vendors and their consent management operations
- Where business preparedness needs improvement
- What these trends mean for the future of privacy governance and public trust
This discussion is essential for privacy, risk, and compliance professionals who want to ground their strategies in current data and prepare for what’s next in the privacy landscape.
