The application developed in this project helps citizen to apply for passport online and seek appointment through the PSP Portal as per their convenience. Citizens can then plan their visit to the nearest PSK (Passport Seva Kendra) at the appointment date/time, thus avoiding long queues and inconvenience. Application provides two centers at which citizen can apply for their passport: 1) PSK (Passport Seva Kendra) where the applicant's presence is mandatory while applying, 2) DPC (District Passport Cell) where applicant drops their filled application forms and processing doesn't require their presence. The sovereign and fiduciary functions like verification, granting, issuing/revocation/impounding of passports have been retained by MEA. Apart from creating a countrywide networked environment for Government officials, it also aims to integrate with the state police for physical verification of applicant's particulars and antecedents and with India Post for delivery of passports. Project Description – This was a transition project where TCS was responsible for a seamless transition of the application from Incumbent vendor. MTC (Managed Test Center) consist of an application called Allianz Business System (ABS) in which different modules were to be migrated. ABS program refersto migration of existing products along with functionality from Host system to ABS application along with new functionality implementations for new and existing products.
