- 2. she went on to pursue her Bachelor of science Degree in Aeronautical engineering through Punjab Engineering College. A Master of science degree in Aerospace engineering from Texas University in 1984. In 1988 kalpana chawla started work at NASA Ames Research Center. In 1993 , December 1994,she was selected by NASA out of 2962 aplicants as an astronaut candidate in the 15 group of astronauts. In 1996,her dream become true.
- 3. NASA rated her a “ terrific astronaut “. During her first flight , she was stunned the sun sets , Africa looked like a desert and Nile a vein it. HER SECOND SPACE FLIGHT : Kalpana Chwla got her second chance to the space in 2000. she was selected as a crew member of STS – 107. He 16 days flight began on 16th Janauary 2003.But unfortunatly ,her second voyage turned out to be her “eternal Voyage”On 1 febrauary 2003 just before landing .
- 4. 1.Earth started as a fiery mass of molten rock,but about 4 billion years ago the outer layer began to cool and forme hard crust. 2.There are many types of rocks,formed in three main ways. 3.Most igneous rocks appear on the surface as melted rock (magma)brought to the Earth’s surface by volcanoes.when this cools, it crystallizes in to solid rock.

STAR OF AFRICA : ( 530.2CARATS) in 1908 this diamond was mounted in the royal sceptre, part of the British crown jewels. 2.KOH-I-NOOR (105.6CARATS) since 1304, it has belonged to various Indian and persian rulers ,but become part of the British crown jewels after queen victoria became Empress of India in 1877 .
- 6. 1. ALLOSAURUS : was afearsome 12-m-(38-ft)long predator .it walked on to two legs ,had a massive tail , and a bulky body . It had sharp claws up to (6 in) length 2. CARATOSAURUS : could grow up to 6-m (20-ft ) long .it had large , power ful jaws and sharp teeth. 3. MEGALOSAURUS: grew up to 9-m (30-ft) long . As well as hunting sauropods, it is likely that it also scavenged already dead animals.
