- 4. Hi, dear friends! I’m Antonio, your new friend. My eyes are brown and my hair is short and brown. I am medium-size. I live in Campobasso where I was born thirteen years ago. I have got a sister, Lucia, who is sixteen. She is a student in a secondary school. My father Giuseppe is a policeman and my mother Concetta is a housewife. I like playing football and chatting with friends. But most of all I love listening to music, in particular rock and pop music. I can play the drums very well. I’m a member of the school orchestra called ‘Giovane Orchestra L. Montini’ (‘Young Orchestra L. Montini’). In the afternoon I attend piano lessons at school and percussion instruments at the Conservatory three times a week. I want to become a musician in the future. What about the school subjects? I’m a bit jealous. I think I’m nice, calm and intelligent. I like nice and loyal people but I don’t like those who are difficult and terrible. I’ve got a sister Valentina: we are twins. I live with her and my parents. My father is a worker and my mother is a housewife. My sister and I go to the same school “L. Montini”. We attend the third year in class 3F. Sometimes going to school is very boring because we must study. I like music, dancing and volleyball. I play the piano and the flute at school. Valentina and I play in the school orchestra. - 6. Hello! My name’s Chiara. I was born in San Donà di Piave (VE = Venice) 14 years ago but now I live in Campobasso. I’ve got brown eyes and brown hair. My family is composed of my father Antonio, my mother Michela, and my sister Serena. She’s very nice. I have many hobbies. I like drawing, playing the violin and listening to music. - 9. Dear friends, my name’s Alessia but people call me Ale. I’m 13 and I was born in Campobasso where I live with my family in a beautiful flat. I’m thin and of medium height. I’ve got brown sleek hair and brown eyes. My family is composed of my mother Maria, my father Gianni, my younger sister Martina and me. My sister and I have got a tortoise, Ghighi. My hobbies are studying foreign languages, music and doing shopping. I like going out with my friends and staying with them too. I like music so I attend violin lessons in my school. I play this instrument in the “ Giovane Orchestra Leopoldo Montini ”. My favourite colour is pink and my favourite singers are Jesse McCartney and Tokio Hotel. My favourite actor is Zac Efron. I’m afraid of dogs, exams and injections. My favourite food and drinks are pizza, chips and Coca Cola. I don’t practise any sport but I like volleyball and swimming. I like sweet people and I don’t like nasty people. My favourite subjects are English, Italian, French, Music and Science. My dream is to become an interpreter or a language teacher and that’s the reason why I love foreign languages. I like my school because it’s very nice and big. My typical day starts at 7 o’clock. School lessons begin at 8:15 and finish at 1:15. In the afternoon I do my homework and in the evening I have dinner with my family. - 13. Hello! Nice to meet you!!! I’m one of your new partners. My name’s Valeria and I’m a 13-year-old girl. I was born on 5th May in Campobasso and I live in a village nearby. I’m 1.62m tall and I have long brown hair and brown eyes. I live in a big house with my big family: my parents, my two sisters and two brothers. My sisters called Lorena Alessia are 20 and 16 years old. My brothers are 18 and 5; their names are Giovanni and Lorenzo. I’m the 4th. My father is a bricklayer and my mother works at the university. I have two grand-mothers too. When I don’t do my homework, I like reading books, watching TV, surfing the Internet, talking with my friends on the phone, walking with my sisters or my best friend… I love playing volleyball and music. I play in my class volleyball team. At school we compete against the other classes and the best team receive a prize. I’ve played the violin for three years in my school and I go to my instrument lessons once a week. My violin teacher is very good, but she’s severe, too. I listen to all the types of music but I don’t have a favourite singer in particular. I like pets, but I don’t have one because my mother doesn’t like them. I often play with my grandmother’s dogs. I’ m a bit shy, nice and greedy. In my family we are six. My father Mario is an engineer, my mother is an accounter. My twin sister Angela, my brother Alessandro, my sister Marianicola and I are students. I live at Matrice, a small village not far from Campobasso so mum drives us to school every day. I have a lot of friends at school, but my best friends are Sara and Sara (yes, two different Sara!!!) In my family we are four: my dad, my mother, my brother and I. We live in a flat in Campobasso. This is a little town but it’s the most important centre in Molise. It has over 55,000 inhabitants and its territory is hilly. The climate is good: it is cold in the winter, mild in the spring and in the autumn and very hot in the summer. I like it! My favourite hobbies are: playing with the computer, playing volleyball with my friends and going out for a walk. My favourite singers are Justin Timberlake and Akon. What are yours? I think I am spontaneous, calm and quiet but sometimes I am difficult, moody and intractable. I like friends who are jolly, humorous, spirituous and I avoid boring, striking and selfish people. I have one brother, Mattia and I live with my parents. like surfing the Net (even if I haven’t got the Internet connection), chatting on the phone, going for walks and playing videogames. - 20. Hi! My name is Domenico and live in Campobasso. I don’t like school much, it is not for me. I play in the school orchestra "L. Montini", a ‘great’ orchestra that started in 1996. I love music and I can play the guitar, the accordion and the piano. In the orchestra when I play the accordion I am cheered. I like to repair engines and I like electronics very much. I build houses in scale, with lights, garages and sometimes even the elevators. I am always in the garage to make new things. School is always the last of my thoughts. The country is another passion. I live in the open country and I am happy because when I wake up in the morning I breathe the fresh clean air.
