- 2. What is a listings magazine? A listings magazine is a magazine which contains information about the upcoming week’s events, such as broadcast programming, music, clubs, theatre and film information. This is relevant to my documentary as it demonstrates how my documentary would be advertised and when it would broadcast, as well as the channel it would broadcast on.
- 3. Main Heading The main heading is a focus of the page as it is in a larger font to the rest of the text and is in a fluorescent green colour. Also, the heading is intriguing and will entice the target audience. ‘New Series’ The use of the title ‘New Series’ in bold, red writing, will entice the audience as it stands out on the page. Main Image The main image in this article is allocated to the right of the text but is larger than anything else on the page making it a main focus. The image is in the foreground of the main heading which makes it more important than the title of the page. By Line following the typical conventions, the photographer and writer. Stand First this is a summary of the article and gives the reader a taste of what's to come. The text is in a larger font than the main text which entices the target audience to read it first. Body/Copy Text This is the main body of text for the article, the article takes up the left hand side of the double page spread, this is so the readers look at the text first and then focus on the images once they understand what the article Pull Quote The purpose of the pull quote is to take an interesting quote from the article and make it bigger, this entices the audience and makes them want to read the full article. Colour Scheme The colour scheme of the article links in well with the programme as the programme is based around aliens. The colour scheme of the double page spread is green which is a common colour associated with extra terrestrials. Smaller Image The background image is also there to entice the audience and make the page look more attractive and appealing. Although the image is smaller than the main image which doesn’t take away focus from the main image.
