This document summarizes a report on barriers to accessing HIV-related healthcare services faced by male-born sexual minorities in Karnataka, India. The report is based on focus group discussions with sexual minorities in 11 districts. It finds that while HIV services are meant to target at-risk groups like sexual minorities, questions remain about the nature and quality of these services. Barriers reported include lack of access to and availability of services, as well as some rights violations in the name of providing healthcare. The report ends with recommendations from sexual minority communities for improving policies and services.
